Olds Skatepark Grand Opening
Although it’s been skateable since last Fall, the new skatepark in Olds is having an “official” grand opening in conjunction with a local festival on June 18th. Here’s the poster with all the details:
Red Bull Manny Mania Competition
Red Bull is doing Manny Mania again this year. The Calgary stop is on June 26th– location to be determined.
CASE Annual General Meeting
CASE members, please come out to our annual general meeting on Monday, May 16th at 7:00PM. The location is the Colonel Walker Room at the Inglewood Community Association Hall, 1740 24 Ave SE.
Our AGM is an opportunity for CASE to share with Calgary’s skate community what we have accomplished, what we are working on, and what we have planned. It will be a chance for us to answer your questions, and hear your ideas and suggestions about what we can do for skateboarding in Calgary. If you want to get involved in any of CASE’s efforts, you can check into that opportunity as well.
Sylvan Lake Design Workshop
It looks like another town near Calgary is getting a concrete skatepark. If you want to have some input into the design of the future park in Sylvan Lake, go to the meeting on May 17th.
