Airdrie Extreme Athletics Association
The Airdrie Extreme Athletics Association (AEAA) is looking for new board members. This is an important group that was the driving force behind the new Airdrie skatepark. And they will continue to plan events at the skatepark as well as the future expansion. Their annual general meeting is on Thursday, September 30th at 7:00PM. The location is Airdrie City Hall, 400 Main St.
If you live in or near Airdrie this is a great way to get involved and support skateboarding.

What the Other Guys Are Up To
A few of our neighbouring cities have skateboarding associations that are making some waves.
The Edmonton Skateboard Association has been raising awareness (and funds) for the past few months.
Lethbridge’s Skateboard Association has been creating a buzz about getting new parks in their town. They’ve been meeting with town officials regularly and their website is always updated.
Last but not least, the Medicine Hat Skateboard Association is still keeping busy and fundraising for their new skatepark, which will be an addition to the current skatepark in Medicine Hat.
