From secret spots from days gone by to spots that are still going strong, the dam/spillway thing in Northwest Calgary is kind of an intimidating one. It has the potential for a lot of speed but the large gaps (and rocks) can make achieving that speed difficult. If you don’t know where this spot is, here’s a hint: Google Maps. For the inaugaural post on Calgaryskateboarding.com, we thought we’d pay our respects to a fun Calgary spot from a couple years back: the Jankhouse.
If you ever got the chance to skate this semi-secret spot, consider yourself lucky. Never has a bunch of junk been assembled in such a fun way.

The conditions were certainly hazardous.
