The Calgary Snow Show is having an indoor skatepark and skate comp this year. The skatepark will be 4,000 square feet and the comp is free to enter. Over $3,000 in cash and prizes are up for grabs.
Entrance to the Snow Show is $8 but discounted tickets can be purchased at any Safeway location or online for $5. It all goes down at Spruce Meadows on November 3-4.
There’s also a “gear sale” where discount skate and snow goods can be purchased.
Here’s the schedule for the skating:
SATURDAY:
10am – 12pm: Free Skate/Warmup
12pm – 1pm: First Skate Team Demo
1pm – 3pm: Highest Ollie and Best trick (Rail)
3pm – 4pm: Second Skate Team Demo
4pm- 6pm: Free Skate and “Learn to Skate Lessons” courtesy of Mission Snow and Skate.
SUNDAY:
11am – 12pm: Free Skate
12pm – 1pm: Skate Team Half Pipe Demo
1pm – 3pm: Half Pipe Comp

Some CASE representatives went out to Dalhousie Church to help judge Snake and Destroy 2 on Saturday. The set-up was solid, as was the field of competitors. In the end, the three categories broke down like this:
