Please join us on as we celebrate Go Skateboarding Day on Saturday, June 21st at Millennium Park at 1PM for contests, prizes, and a great day of skateboarding. We’ll have the design concepts of the three new skateparks on display.
Westside Rec Centre also hosting a Go Skateboarding Day bash. Theirs starts at 5:30PM.
The City of Calgary and van der Zalm & Associates will unveil the designs for the three new skateparks going ahead in 2014.

In 2013, our Go Skateboarding Day celebration was cancelled due to the flood. It’s looking like everything is a go this year so come to Millennium Park on Saturday, June 21st and skate with us!
We’ll be doing contests, giving away prizes, and just have a fun time skateboarding. The designs for the three new skateparks will be on hand for viewing. It goes from 1pm-4pm and is free!

The City of Calgary and van der Zalm & Associates have put together a report demonstrating how they chose the 10 sites for the skateparks being developed in 2014-15. Unfortunately two of the sites are not going forward as of now but that still leaves eight more new parks over the next two years!
