It seems that every small town within a few hundred kilometres of Calgary is getting a great new skatepark. Well, it appears the town of Vauxhall is not so lucky. Although are getting a park, they’ve hired Canadian Ramp Company to design it. All evidence leads us to believe that this will be a modular park (movable pieces with steel/wood frame ramps). We feel sorry for the skaters of Vauxhall but at least there won’t be another small town with a better skatepark than Calgary’s! The Nanton skatepark is almost open. It just needs a bit of help. The folks down there sent us this:
“SKATEPARK WORK BEE!
Please come and help lay sod at the skatepark this Saturday, October 29. beginning at 9AM till the job is done.
A few strong wheel barrows, shovels and rakes needed. Hot dogs, coffee and pop provided, maybe even some home baked treats. Children must be supervised by parents, it’s is a construciton site.
Skatepark is closed for now. Let’s work together to get it open!
