Lacombe is a about a one and a half hour drive from Calgary but from the photos below, it looks like the new park there is worth the drive. The #2 highway is getting to be a bit of a “skate highway” between Calgary and Edmonton with parks in Airdrie, Olds, Red Deer, Lacombe, and Leduc.

Former Calgary skater and former New Deal pro, Anthony Hancock could often be seen skating the big bowl and full pipe at Millennium Park. It appears as though he’s been living in/near Powell River, BC for a few years and has a very nice vert ramp at his house. Here’s some footage of it:
