Not quite Calgary related, but it’s something to keep you busy in Calgary while waiting for the snow to melt. When you get sick of playing skateboarding games on Xbox and Playstation, check out Google SketchUp. It’s a free 3D modelling program that lets you design models. A lot of people have been using it to design skateparks for fun. Here’s a good example:
The Republik Night Club is hosting a game of SKATE on Wednesday, February 17th. The event begins at 8:30. Check their Facebook event page for more info.
