On CTV News tonight, Jeff Collins will be talking about trying to change the City of Calgary bylaw that prohibits skateboard ramps in the city. Watch it and contact your local alderman using this link. If enough people do this, maybe we can get this archaic, useless bylaw changed.
Just to recap on the Langdon Park Opening, the Spectrum boys put together an interesting little park for our skating pleasure.
It was an extremely hot day, but that didn’t turn down the stoke for anyone who attended the days events.
A huge thanks goes out to all the local skate businesses from Calgary, Strathmore, and Chestermere for the generous donations of gear. I think everyone who attended went home with something new for the summer!

This past weekend, a few Calgary skaters went out to Montreal for the Am Getting Paid competition. Riley Boland made the finals and he’s in the video below at about 1:52

The City of Calgary is hosting another mini ramp jam. Check out the poster below and click it for all the info including waivers. The comp part of it is invite only but the public can skate after that.
