Go Skateboarding Day was fun!
If you made it out to Eau Claire, sorry it didn’t last. Things got shut down by the police (including HAWC1). The festivities continued at Millennium Park though, and lots of free hot dogs, drinks, and skate product were handed out. If you have pics or video, please e-mail them to CASE.
Over at Boardistan, they have an interesting post regarding GSD. The Calgary Sun posted an article today too.
Just a reminder about Go Skateboarding Day on Sunday — last year, most of us had a good time but there were a few that almost spoiled the day for everyone. Use common sense, be respectful, and have fun. Remember, it’s Father’s Day so don’t do anything your dad wouldn’t approve of.
C.A.S.E. would like to thank the crew at Royal Boardshop and everyone that came out for the “Sk8 Mafia” video premier. There’s now another $70 bones in the pot to help out the quest for more skate parks in Calgary.
If you want to find out exactly what’s going on with Millennium Park in relation to the West expansion of the LRT, come to one of the meetings indicated on the poster below. The first one is on Thursday, June 18th.
