Go Skateboarding Day 2012 in Calgary
June 21st is Go Skateboarding Day. Come out to Millennium Park from 4-7 to skate and have fun! Also, Nixon is giving out prizes for tricks at spots around the city using Instagram.

AOD Skate Thrash – High River
AOD Skateboards is hosting the Skate Thrash Contest on June 10th. It looks to be a good time with bands like Mung, Spastic Panthers, Profits of Crime, and more.
MHSA/ESA in Mexico
Our friends in the Medicine Hat Skateboard Association and Edmonton Skateboard Association sent us this video of them helping build a home for a family in Mexico. It’s inspirational that these guys took the time and effort to do something positive like this. Steve Berra and Chad TimTim make appearances as well.
Globe and Mail Article/Death of Skater in Toronto
This article in the Globe and Mail talks about the increasing popularity of skateboarding as well as how dangerous it can be to do it in the streets. A man riding a longboard on a Toronto street was killed by a taxi earlier this week.
