Position: Skateboard Day Camp Leaders – Summer 2014

Position Description
-To supervise, lead and instruct children in skateboarding and sports in a daycamp setting
-To provide a safe, fun and quality program
-Leadership, program planning and evaluation of programs
-Supervision of Leaders in Training and volunteers
-Actively and enthusiastically participate in all aspects of the program including swimming, skating, gym sports/games and arts & crafts.
-Set-up, take-down and general maintenance of equipment and facility
Employment Terms:
-Camp dates are Immediately – August 15, 2014
Hours of work are dependent on day camp scheduling and vary from 8:30 am – 12:15 pm or 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Qualifications / Skills Required:
-Current Standard First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
-All applicants must be a minimum of 16 years of age for children’s programs
-Minimum of two (2) years skateboarding experience
-Ability to deal with customer questions and concerns, enthusiastic and organized
-Previous day camp/skateboarding planning experience
-Experience leading a group in one or more of the following areas would be an asset: skateboarding, sports, general summer day camp and recreational activities
Closing Date: Immediate opening, Open until a suitable candidate has been found
