Skate Churches
Spring is nearly here but we’re not quite done with the snow and cold weather. If you’re looking for spots to skate that aren’t illegal, dirty, and/or dangerous, check out one of the “skate churches”.
Dalhousie Community Church hosts sessions on Tuesday nights:
5:30PM – 7:00PM 15 and under
7:30PM – 9:00PM 16 and over
Helmets are required and the cost is $2.
Centre Street Church is open for skating Thursday nights from 7:00PM – 9:00PM. It goes down in the gym of the West campus. Check out their flyer here.
Brock Mitchell
Brock Mitchell is a local skateboarder and filmmaker that does a lot of skate-related stuff. Check out his Youtube site and watch some of his vids. They’re all in HD which is refreshing in these days of bro-cam happy lens slappers!
